Letzte Band fürs Sunstorm Open Air
Wie versprochen bekommt Ihr heute die zwölfte und letzte Band für das Sunstorm Open Air am 6. Juli! Wer von euch kennt die Band „Sonic Syndicate“? Ja, genau. „DIE“ Sonic Syndicate. Wir hören frenetisches Gejubel aus den hinteren Rängen. Gut so, dann wird es wieder Zeit für eine kleine Geschichtsstunde! Sonic Syndicate wurde 2002 von den Brüdern Roger und Richard Sjunnesson gegründet. In den vergangenen Jahren haben eben diese Gründungsmitglieder, sowie Sänger Roland Johansson die Band zugunsten einer anderen Band verlassen – The Unguided, die 2011 mit „Hell Frost“ Ihr Debutalbum veröffentlichten und mit sich bereits mit Auftritten auf dem Summerbreeze Open Air oder Getaway Rock Festival verdient machten. Wir begrüßen mit The Unguided außerdem die erste Internationale Band auf dem Sunstorm Open Air!
The Unguided is a five-piece melodic metal band from Sweden. A band formed by Richard Sjunnesson and his brother Roger Sjunnesson (ex-Sonic Syndicate), after Rich’s departure from Sonic Syndicate in the end of 2010. The brothers joined forces with the old friend Roland Johansson (ex-Sonic Syndicate) and started their work on the debut album “Hell Frost” (Released 30 Nov 2011 via Despotz Records.)
The band writes music from the heart instead of being conducted by the business and together with a strong friendship and respect for each other this outlines the essence of the band.
To complete the line-up, the veteran bassist Henric Liljesand (ex-Dead By April, current Cipher System, Lavett) got recruited and just recently the drummer; Richard Schill (ex-Shining) got added to The Unguided ranks, to close the circle.
The work of the successor TBA album to “Hell Frost” is in the making and the band will hit the studio early 2013 to finish up the recording.
